What would you consider to be living the good life? For many people it would be doing what they have always wanted to do with their lives. For others it would be the discovery of what it takes to be happy. It is important to me to be at peace with whatever occurs in my present situations each and every day. Sharing processes and epiphanies that can assist others in being more joy filled on our shared path is another preference. The list will be different for each person as to what constitutes living the good life.
For over four decades my path has been complimented with a course of spiritual studies where without a doubt it became evident to me that life is an inside job. No matter what is happening outside in the world, it is how you respond to it within yourself that really matters.
Finding ways to remain tapped into Source is another way to align yourself to stay in what is called “in the flow.” When aligned, things tend to go more smoothly and coincidences and serendipitous events happen that are sometimes unexplainable, like that phone call of someone you were just thinkin’ of or the perfect partner or job path shows up that meets your expectations with ease and little if any struggle on your part.
For many years as a seeker, courses were taken, books were read, and constantly my intention was to learn how to get to where I wanted in life. Only to finally discover that what it took instead was to shut off the world, stop watching the news, quit being swayed by the glossy magazines of “thin super models, “and to listen instead to that still quiet voice within. There resonating from deep within is where the guidance comes.
“What I mean by living to one’s self is living in the world, as in it,not of it.”William Hazlitt
Breathnach says in Simple Abundance, ” Only when the clamour of the outside world is silenced only then will you be able to hear the deeper vibration.” Pay attention, do whatever it takes to listen. Walk in nature, meditate, watch a sunset, allow that voice to be heard. And then know that when an image flickers across your mind, an idea suddenly presents itself that —Spirit is singing it’s song.
“I have made my world and it is a much better world than I ever saw outside.” Louise Nevelson
The intention of this site is to continue to share processes, insights and new awakenings as they present themselves to us. If something you read or do works for you, share your story by commenting. Building a community of like minded individuals who together can make the world a better place to co-exist sounds like a pretty good plan of inspired action.

Positive Mindset=Positive Results
Do you ever wonder why some things you want seem unattainable to you?
It is important to realize that the self talk we use programs our minds in either positive or negative ways. We must monitor our own self talk to realize why we’re getting the results that are showing up in our life. It is said that we have 60,000 thoughts a day most of which are the same. Our thoughts are impacted by these deeply ingrained positive or negative programs. These same programs dictate our behaviors. How we act, our level of confidence or lack of is also effected by these same programs leading to unconscious behaviors.
Most of the information in our subconscious mind has been programmed by well-meaning loved ones, teachers and religious leaders. Sometimes it’s people with agendas or people who don’t have the qualifications to guide or advise us. Angry or sad energy or even unsaid body language can cause us to have a lifelong negative imprint, especially when these are repeatedly ingrained in our minds. As a result of negative programming, we can develop low self esteem; have repeated failures in relationships, become unhappy, depressed, or chronically ill, develop addiction issues and have many more problems.
By now, you may be asking, how can I reprogram this unconscious behavior? In Dr. Bruce Lipton’s book,Biology of Belief, scientific data shows that our subconscious programming automatically runs 95% of our lives. These programs can also be changed to more empowering programs that better serve us. Some examples of negative programming could be: “You will never amount to anything” or ” Don’t risk going into business, they always fail unless, you are really lucky” or “don’t be such a dreamer, you’re wasting your time.”
In order to change the negative programming, we must replace it with positive programming. We must consciously reject bad information by staying in the moment. We want to reprogram these negative mind tapes rather than attempt something with these programs as our mindset, if not, the only outcome can be what was programmed.
Remember that the subconscious always wins! As we go through our lives, we create a library of events that proves to our conscious mind these untrue and irrational bits of information are actually the truth. Even if we consciously know that something is silly or untrue—the false programming wins because the mind goes back to where we have allowed this information to give us a false result.
You must begin to question the subconscious programming! Positive and negative programming can be likened to a radio station that plays acid rock and classical music both at the same time. It’s chaotic! Change past programming rather than have it dictate your future. Always seek ways to reprogram those tapes. Here are some of the ways to create positive programming.
- Read inspirational books. Read, get advice from a trusted source. Dr. Joe Vitale writes in several of his books including his most recent, Attract Money Now, about the significance of “clearing” out unconscious limiting beliefs so that we can replace them with more empowering beliefs to allow good into our lives. James Allen in his classic work “As Man Thinketh,”reinforces the idea that we become what we think about.
- Listen to uplifting music and audios. Martha Giffen talks on her inspiring Rewired audio CD about how her grandparents posted positive messages in their bathroom. Each day they were repeating positive phrases to change their negative programming.
- Practice meditation which allows us to quiet our mind, be in the moment, and seek answers from within. Some people prefer to have guided meditations while listening to CDs. Do whatever works for you.
- Listen to hypnosis CD’s designed to release these negative beliefs.
- Join groups of like minded people who teach the use of “conscious language, and then hang out with these positive, upbeat people.
Do whatever you have to do to overwrite these programs and get your conscious mind and your unconscious mind in the same vibration. We really are more in charge of our lives than we were originally led to believe.
“There is little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.” -W. Clement Stone

What a wonderful life I’ve had! I only wish I’d realized it sooner.” Collete
Many of us have experienced how life’s lessons can be presented to us through pain, loss and struggles. Few of us realize that it is these difficult times that teach us most. It takes practice to see good in something bad. When we intentionally focus our mind on what possible good can come from the challenging events then amazing things can happen.
How many times have you had one of those days where nothing seems to be going right? As long as we live on this earth we will have days that go just as we desire and the opposite where everything seems to happen in a less desirable manner.
Sometimes we are having what Lynn Grabhorn talks of in her book,”Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting.” that which she calls a negative energy orgy. It is simply you closing yourself off to the energy of your higher self. The valve is closed—shut tight— and you are not feeling the positive energy of this incredible Universal Power or God Source. The positive flow of this “feel good “ source of good stuff is shut off. It is also what the teachings of Abraham call the CONTRAST in life or more specifically some of what we do not want in our life. This— we eventually learn is what leads us to discover that which we do want. From being smack dog in the middle of what we do not want, a “rocket of desire “ is launched for our new desires. We can also get to a place eventually where we can bless these bad times which gave us a gift by showing us the clarity to know what we really do want in our lives.
Although you feel really lousy—you have been here before and it is no big deal, you must allow yourself to have this kind of “ down in the dumps” day. Really go on and have it. Give yourself permission to experience and to feel all the negative “icky” sensations so that nothing gets stuffed down inside your self.
Now, on the other hand if you want to escape these vibrational gloomies, then one easy way to do that is to allow your eyes to look at the smallest, most insignificant thing you can find to “jump start” your physical smile.
Do What Makes YOU Smile: Reach down inside yourself and feel the feelings of that little thing that forces you to smile. Maybe it is an animal looking at you and loving you, or a plant in your garden, or the sunshine pouring in your window, or your favorite old ragged chair in your favorite reading corner, or maybe it is the book you are reading. Feel and flood feelings of appreciation to it for just being in your life. Wrap it in love as if it were the greatest treasure of your entire life which was lost and has now been found.
Sing and Dance: If this doesn’t do the trick then put on your favorite dance music and begin dancing around the house. Sing some silly song like,” Happy Days are Here Again,”( even though you would rather be in your chair crying). As they say, “fake it till you make it.” You will be amazed at how quickly your mood can change for the better.
Change the Scenery: Another course of action is to change the scenery and take a walk— nature can do wonders to cure what ails you.
Positive Self Talk: An additional strategy is to give yourself a positive little self-talk, “ Don’t worry things will get better, You will be feeling better soon. Life gives you the downs so you can more fully appreciate the ups.”
The bottom line is take one small gentle loving step at a time when you are feeling down. Give yourself a little here and a little there. It may take a couple of hours or a couple of days and eventually you will feel the resistance lessening and a “click” where the valve to that “feel good “ connection is open and flowing back again into you. You are again turned on to the infinite possibilities of life.
Remember that life offers opposites and it is in these paradoxes that we are given a better understanding of the things we truly want in our life. Sometimes we are led to a less than pleasant experience to first wallow in before the light shines on things we love.
Gabrielle Roth says it beautifully in the following excerpt:
“When we experience moments of ecstasy—
in play, in art, in sex—they come not as
an exception, an accident, but as a taste of what
life is meant to be…ecstasy is an idea, a goal,
but it can be the expectation of every day,
Those times when we are grounded in our body,
pure in our heart, clear in our mind, rooted
in our soul, and suffused with the energy,
the spirit of life, are our birthright.
It’s really not that hard to stop and luxuriate
in the joy and wonder of our being,
Children do it all the time.
It’s a natural human gift that should be
at the heart of our lives.”
No matter how lousy you are feeling, remember that we always have a choice. So turn on the flow of “feel good “ by finding one tiny thing that has you begin to feel a little bit better. Because there is a choice in every moment, make it your goal to reach for a better feeling thought. With enough practice, soon you will find that you will be able to look at those challenging times to find the gift that they were to you.

“Meditation is the art of paying attention to your heart. Rather than withdrawing from the world, meditation can help you enjoy it more fully, more effectively, and more peacefully.” Dean Ornish, M.D.
Why do we meditate? Dr. Wayne Dyer in his book Getting in the Gap tells us reasons why people meditate including reducing stress, cultivating a sense of peace, eliminating fatigue, slowing the aging process, improving memory, finding clarity of purpose, and even healing. Dyer goes on to say that,” these reasons pale in comparison that meditation is our way of making conscious contact with God.”
Here are everyday ways to meditate on your own, whenever you choose. (more…)

Our lives have been a series of serendipitous events. We have been reading and studying an assortment of spiritual and scientific books that have created for us lives that we could not have imagined in previous years. Upon the continuous improvements, we devoted ourselves to sharing what we have learned so that others could be the benefactors of our generosity.
“My potential is unlimited.”
” I know that I can create miracles in my life.”
We appreciate the many teachers who have blessed our lives and we simply intend to ” pass on” what we ‘ve learned. Thanks to each of you and Source, God, Goddess, All-That-Is.

Writing a letter, hashing out all of your pent up anger, frustration, resentment, etc. is a technique that some regard as a proper tool to eliminate negative emotions towards your problems. It is my belief that this focus on problems will only exacerbate the past and bring it to the forefront of your now. Instead, I’d like to offer a different approach, with which you can experience a particular incident with a whole new perspective.
Write a letter and design the scenario as if it went exactly as you intended: smooth, joyful and enlightening. Embellish on the wonderful ease and comfort that accompanied every aspect of the event. Spell out all the contributing factors that caused such synchronicity and all from the vantage point of gracious hindsight. In this way, you are recreating a joy-filled story that programs the subconscious with positive “realities” and invites a stronger connection between you and Source. Your mood will be lifted immediately and you will be left with a clear understanding of the path you expect to travel down in the future.
One more note: have fun with your new story. Incorporate all the seemingly small joys that encourage the corners of your mouth to curl up, your nose to twitch and a giggle or two to escape your heart. Not only will your burdens lighten but you will experience a playfulness that attracts more of the good stuff in life.
So often times the events of our day to day living that we deem negative, land on the “replay” button of our memories, paralyzing our natural inclinations to joyful existence. Many feel the desire to figure out what went wrong and therefore allow the ugly, angry details to envelope their thoughts. Some swear of their innocence,
rightness…(fill in the blank) and so, stubbornly hold tight to the justification of the quarrel, only lengthening the gap between them and their own peace of mind. What good purpose does any of this harboring serve?
“When we are able to use the power of deliberate thoughts, we are able to realize our inner potential and use it in the right way.” Marian & Joan, Swirl Girls
